A campaign generally consists of 4 main building blocks:
Briefing
Influencer Selection
Preparation Phase
Active Phase
Each of these blocks comes with a few important things you should keep in mind to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Briefing
How to write a great briefing that influencers will actually read (and understand):
Explain your brand like you're telling a friend about it
What’s the goal of the campaign? Are you launching a new product, creating awareness, or communicating a specific message?
Is your campaign local? Be sure to mention it!
Provide a clear structure in the task description – but leave room for creative freedom.
Pro tipps:
For example, About You wanted creators to showcase the Size Guide – but how they did it was completely up to them.
Already have a clear vision for the content? Upload example content under "Documents".
If not, just share a few content ideas for inspiration (ChatGPT can be super helpful here!)
Don’t forget to include clear Do’s & Don’ts
And most importantly: What’s in it for the influencer? Be transparent about the reward, how it’s paid, or how they’ll receive it.
Influencer Selection
What to check before accepting creators:
Do you have specific criteria (e.g. region, age group, vibe)? Then look for those specifically!
Check out their content on Instagram and TikTok and review what they’ve posted in past campaigns
Keep an eye on:
Clean video editing & good timing
High-quality content
Clear and appealing product placement
A unique, recognizable style
Pro tip: Save your favorite creators in the network early on – this makes it super easy to invite them for future campaigns.
Preparation Phase
Double-check your stock – nothing’s worse than running out of products before the influencers get theirs.
Remember: Shipping takes a few days – plan for that!
Active Phase
The campaign chat is your best friend – use it to sort out questions, timing, and important notes.
If something’s really important to you, say it again in the chat – that way, it won’t be overlooked.
